Anything newsworthy will be on this page. Our up-to-date whereabouts will be under the sub page for the relevant year, along with more details. (Hover over Blog)

28th June 2022: The Buthy is now back in the water having been stretched from 31' to 57'!

1st February 2022: The Buthy is now out of the water and has been cut in half, ready for the extra 26' of hold to be fabricated!

Exciting news! Celtic Finge is being launched on Wednesday 17th November at Braunston wharf!!! Further updates and lots of pics to follow...

Even more exciting news! She is in the water. See 2021 for pics...

27th -30th December: Just completed our first journey with both boats! Wigrams to Weedon (dropped off The Buthy)...and back to Wigrams!

This is The Buthy in the painting tunnel just after we and Will Hewitt (the sign-writer) had finished painting her - during the hottest week of August 2020.

Helen made the tiller from a piece of Douglas fir we found, fallen, in a wood in Scotland. Like a traditional butty 'ellum, it points upwards when the boat is moored and down when you're steering.

The hooks on the sides are for when the butty is "breasted up" with the motor (i.e. side-by-side).
